Our Mission
Accelerate clinical nursing development.
Our Story
NexGen Clinical Education was founded in 2017 when Jade Chase and Lloyd McCluskey met as nursing supervisors on an inpatient unit. Both discovered they had a passion for helping nurses learn the profession. They also discovered that many new graduate nurses started their careers with little clinical expertise. This often led to high stress levels and many of them exited the profession. They searched for clinical development tools that might help but could not find any. The answer was clear…develop the tools themselves.
Today, NexGen Clinical Education is focused on expediting clinical skills development for nurses. Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system and we need competent nurses to deliver quality healthcare to our communities. The COVID pandemic has only exacerbated nurse turnover issues, resulting in even higher levels of nurse burnout. Many experienced nurses, who often serve as preceptors and educators, have also decided to leave the profession.
In order to maintain the highest level of patient care, nurses need innovative tools that enhance clinical training and put them on the fast track to expert status. Similarly, healthcare organizations need innovative tools that help attract, train, and retain their nursing staff.
We are very proud to be a veteran-owned business. Co-founder Jade Chase served on active duty in the US Air Force Nurse Corps and deployed to Southwest Asia in 2015 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

We believe veterans of the US Armed Services are uniquely qualified to be founders, owners, and operators of their own businesses. From their first day of military service until the last day they wear the uniform, military veterans understand what it means to fulfill a mission with integrity and excellence.
A Veteran-Owned business.
